Hanging backstage before #CelebratesAmerica. Thank you friends/fans for getting us to the stage last weekend. Loved getting to share the stage with Blues Traveler, Sugar Ray, Uncle Kracker and Smash Mouth in front of 70,000 people. (Photo courtesy Bank of the West)

Omaha, NE — They’re two brothers with a calling to make music. Nick and Tyler Talbott grew up in a small Nebraska town but their dreams were too big and desire too strong to stay put. “I think everybody kind of has that with their jobs, with their careers,” said Tyler Talbott. “If they feel like they can lock in something that they’re supposed to be doing, it feels right. That’s where we’re at.”
The brothers and two other band mates travel the country full time, performing alternative rock music to everyone and anyone who wants to listen and feel the power of music. “When you hear a song that grabs on to your heart or it just inspires you or encourages you in some way, I just feel like music speaks beyond words.” said Nick Talbott.
The Talbott Brothers Band is one of five acts from across the country hoping to open the Bank of the West Celebrates America concert. They hope to get enough on-line votes to push them to the stage. The guys are also the only local band running. The group knows Omaha and want the chance to perform with the big names in-front of a massive crowd. “That’s what you want,” said Tyler Talbott. “You want to reach a lot of people with your craft and that sort of thing so it would be awesome.”
